One Month

I've heard many parents say that keeping track of their children's milestones is much more difficult for the 2nd child, and boy is that true! I wonder what it's like for the 3rd!

Maggie turned one month old a week and a half ago and I am just now updating this. She is doing great!!! Overall she sleeps very well (5-7 hours a night on average) and seems to be a pretty happy baby. She does have her occasional meltdown, but overall she seems to have a very good temperament much like her brother.

We took her to the pedi on Monday cause she has a rash on her face, chest, and back. The doctor said she just has sensitive skin and told us it was contact dermatitis. Basically she came into contact with something that upset her skin. She weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz and is in about the 30th percentile for her age.

She is a strong little thing. She has already rolled from stomach to back a few times and scoots all the time. She will literally be on a mat on her stomach and will travel 3-4 feet. Very funny!!!!

She is also starting to smile. I still think it might be gassy smiles, but Mike thinks she is really smiling now. I even caught one of them on film.

Big Bro at 21 months

Greyson turned 21 months old on the 22nd of May and is becoming such a big boy! He is a great big bro and really loves to be around his little sis. The other day we let him hold her by himself and he was excited beyond words!

His new things at 21 months are:

He is such a chatterbox! He says so many things now we can't even count. He often tells us he loves us after we tell him the same. He is speaking in short sentences and some of the latest things he says are: "Happy Birthday Grandma", "Sit down", "Excuse me", "I'm hungry", "I love you Maggie".

He is starting to learn his colors and shapes. Although, it still seems like he thinks a lot of them are green. I think that's his favorite! The other day I was sealing up some cards which had a pattern on them. He wanted to see the cards, so I took one out of the envelope. He then said, "Pentagon". Sure enough the pattern was made out of pentagon shapes. Mike and I laugh, because at first we couldn't remember how many sides a pentagon was. Now we know. I have a feeling Greyson is going to teach us a lot of things that we have forgotten! Good thing google is around, huh?

He is still interested in his potty and has gone pee pee in it several times, but no more #2 since the 1st time. We aren't going to force it, so we'll wait and see when he's ready.

He has such a great little personality and is getting so big. I can't believe he is almost 2!!!! Greyson, we love you so much!

2 weeks

Maggie turned two weeks old last Friday and has been such a great baby. She is still sleeping a ton and seems to be eating well. She was above her birth weight at her appointment (she was 7.14 at birth and 8 lbs. last Friday), so the doctor said it was time to let her sleep as long as she was able in the evenings. The first and second nights were awesome! She slept 6 hrs. and could have probably gone longer had I not woken her up. But, she hasn't done that again in the last couple of days...however, she is still sleeping really well and only waking once in the middle of the night to feed. Ha! I'm sure it won't always be like this, so I am taking advantage of it for now!!!

She is also becoming much more alert and aware of her surroundings, which is fun to watch.

Here are some new pics of our sweet baby girl:
