Miller's Birthday Party

Last weekend we drove to Houston for one of my college roommate's son's birthday party--Miller, he turned 2. All of my college roommates and their kids were there, so it was a lot of fun catching up with everyone!

We drove up on Saturday morning and met up with Mike's old roommate from college, Jeff. We stayed with Jeff and had a great time. Greyson loves Jeff! On Saturday night we ate dinner at my favorite restaurant, Lupe Tortilla. Yum, Yum!

What a wonderful weekend! The kids were great and we had fun catching up with old friends!

South Padre Island

A couple of weeks ago we made our annual trip down to South Padre Island with Mike's family. Greyson had a blast at the beach, and Maggie, well, she slept through most of the vacation....To break up the drive a bit, we decided to stay the first night in Corpus Christi and visit the Aquarium. Greyson loved the dolphin show and the turtles! One night in South Padre we had a family pirate night where everyone dressed up as pirates and we ate pirate food and listened to a pirate book before bedtime. It was fun for all, young and old!

2 Months

Maggie turned 2 months yesterday. She is doing very well and is a petite little girl. She is really starting to coo and smile much more which is really fun to hear and watch. She is still sleeping pretty well and even had a 10 1/2 hour stretch about a week ago. Of course it hasn't happened again , but she still is a very good sleeper and usually goes about 5-8 hours straight. The doctor says she has some minor acid reflux and we now have her on medicine to control that. Here are her stats:

Weight: 9lbs. 13 oz. 25%
Length: 22 in. 40%
Head: 38 1/2 cm 50%

We just got back from our family vacation to South Padre Island, so I will post pics soon!

Independence Day '09

This past weekend we went down to San Antonio for the 4th of July. Grandpa and Grandma Martin's neighborhood has an annual parade and picnic and Greyson got to ride in Grandpa's '34 Chevy for his first parade. Afterwards we went to the picnic, where Greyson feasted on watermelon, and more watermelon. The boy can't get enough of that stuff! Greyson is really into Lego's and mega blocks these days. He pretty much spent the entire weekend playing with these. Great entertainment! He is also very much into directing others to do things. He loves to tell you what to do, ie: "sit down Grandpa", "come here mommy". He is quite demanding and cute all at the same time.

Maggie had fun too, and pretty much slept the entire time. Grandma made her a really cute dress and headband for the 4th. Thanks you Grandma! Maggie is such a good baby and really only fusses when she is tired, or hungry. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful children!
