Off to School

Maggie's 1st day of school at Woodland Montessori. As you can see, Greyson had more important things to do than take a picture. Toddler tip: Give your toddler a tape measure and it will provide hours of entertainment!

3 Months

Maggie is now 3 months. What a delightful little girl she is. She is really cooing, smiling, and laughing now. Rolls from stomach to back occassionally, and looks like she is working on rolling the other way. Loves her hands, and has now found her feet too. She has already had her first cold, but luckily it wasn't too bad. When we took her to the dr.'s for the cold, she told us that Maggie was not gaining quite as much weight as they'd like to see. She is gaining weight, but slower than they want. So, I have been trying to supplement a bit more and we will have her weight checked next week. I think she is just a small girl, so I'm trying not to get too worked up about this. Maggie also started daycare this week. So far it seems to be going pretty well, although I really miss her and her big bro!!!! Maggie seemed to be sleeping well up until she got the cold, and ever since then, her nights haven't been so great. She has been waking about 2 times a night (versus 1 or none) and is sometimes difficult to get back down to sleep. This has made for some rough work days for mommy! But, I have to remind myself that it will get better and this too shall pass.

Miller's Birthday Party

Last weekend we drove to Houston for one of my college roommate's son's birthday party--Miller, he turned 2. All of my college roommates and their kids were there, so it was a lot of fun catching up with everyone!

We drove up on Saturday morning and met up with Mike's old roommate from college, Jeff. We stayed with Jeff and had a great time. Greyson loves Jeff! On Saturday night we ate dinner at my favorite restaurant, Lupe Tortilla. Yum, Yum!

What a wonderful weekend! The kids were great and we had fun catching up with old friends!

South Padre Island

A couple of weeks ago we made our annual trip down to South Padre Island with Mike's family. Greyson had a blast at the beach, and Maggie, well, she slept through most of the vacation....To break up the drive a bit, we decided to stay the first night in Corpus Christi and visit the Aquarium. Greyson loved the dolphin show and the turtles! One night in South Padre we had a family pirate night where everyone dressed up as pirates and we ate pirate food and listened to a pirate book before bedtime. It was fun for all, young and old!
